Solillas are entirely handmade in Spain by people we know and trust, with quality, pride and passion, and in the same factories they have been for decades. We cherish the traditional craftsmanship, it is the only way we ever want to make our products; with honesty, authenticity and supporative of the local community built around this craft.
Produced from the hide of a young calf, Box Calf leather is particularity valuable due to its softness, fine grain and durability making it highly comfortable and indulgent next to the skin.
Our Pony Hair is in fact cowhide and known as ‘hair-on leather’. It is dyed, patterned and is the thickest leather we use on our shoes.
Made from buffing the underside of the skin to produce a very textured surface area, Suede is extremely durable, soft and pliable.
A full grain cattle leather whose natural characteristics are enhanced by buffing the top layer to give a slight nap of short protein fibres, producing a unique, high quality, velvet-like surface texture.
Patent leather is fine grain leather that undergoes a lacquering process to achieve a very high-gloss, shiny finish, whilst still retaining its flexibility.
Woven from cotton, the interlacing of the long threads allows us to create a fun and unique pattern. They are lined with soft leather for comfort and extra strength.
Our standard soles are made from rubber.
Our flatforms are made from a hard EVA plastic sole.
